Cheers! Arsenal to compele Granit Xhaka signing!

Arsenal are close to completing their first transfer
of the summer, as Granit Xhaka flew in to London
on Friday for a medical at London Colney and to
agree personal moves on his move.
Arsene Wenger has made the Swiss international
midfielder his immediate priority for this summer,
and Arsenal have been locked in negotiations with
Borussia Monchengladbach all week. The German
club had wanted £30million for Xhaka, and while
Arsenal's initial offer was just £20m, there was a
breakthrough in negotiations overnight.
Arsenal had been especially keen to sign Xhaka
before Euro 2016 but his transfer, barring any late
complications, ought to be confirmed early next
week.

23-year-old Xhaka has played for Borussia
Monchengladbach for four sesaons, having joined
them from his hometown club Basel in 2012. He has
40 caps for Switzerland as a full international,
having turned down the chance to represent his
parents' homeland Albania.
Granit's younger brother Taulant Xhaka, who still
plays for Basel, will play for Albania at Euro 2016
next month.

More to come! Oshoala wins first FA Cup with Arsenal Ladies

Nigeria striker Asisat Oshoala Saturday won her first trophy with the Arsenal Ladies following their Women’s FA Cup triumph.
The Arsenal Ladies defeated their Chelsea counterparts 1-0 to secure a record 14th women’s FA Cup trophy with Oshoala playing a starring role.
The 21-year-old started for Pedro Martinez Losa’s side and had several opportunities to put her name on the score-sheet, but failed to do take any of those. The best opportunity of the first half fell to her, when she was put through on goal by a teammate, but Oshoala lost her footing and couldn’t generate enough contact with the ball to double their lead.
The former Rivers Angels player also had other
opportunities, but couldn’t take advantage, neither did her teammates, whom she also created several scoring opportunities for.
However, Arsenal held on to their 18th minute goal to land their 14th women’s FA Cup.
Kudos girlie!
